These pages will give some insight into the semester projects that I have been working on so far along in my education.
Aalborg University places special emphasis on group work and the idea of problem based learning. In the case of the Medialogy education each semester is made up of one major project that is solved as a collaborative effort with fellow students, typically in a group of between 4-7 individuals. Naturally, normal classes and lectures accompany this project, many of which are tailored towards being directly relevant towards solving the problem. This model of learning, popularly coined the “The AAU model”, is described in detail here.
Of note our semester projects also include an extensive documentation in the form of a report. The conceptual development, testing and justification is weighted just as much as the actual implementation when it comes to our evaluation.
