This website is the personal blog, portfolio and brainchild of a 26 year old Norwegian named Tor Guttormsen (that would be me).
I am currently attending my fourth semester of a bachelor’s degree in Medialogy at Aalborg University in Denmark, Medialogy being a slightly ambiguous name for a very interesting education. It’s content will hopefully become clearer from seeing some of the current and past projects described on this very site. That brings me to the motivation behind these particular bits and bytes. After years of taking advantage of and greatly enjoying the collective works of like-minded individuals at the whim of opening a browser window, I hope that my own thoughts, inspirations and work can contribute something back to the wonderful library of resources that is the web.
What about the name?
Coding nature could be seen to house several meanings, depending on the framing, which is exactly how it was intended. The most direct one is hopefully hinted at quite clearly through the layout and design of the site, namely that of describing nature in code. This is a branch of creative outlet that has proven to be of increasing personal interest and intrigue. On the other hand, it can be seen as the idea of having a “coding nature”, reflecting more on my general interest in programming. My profound interest in nature is also a natural extension of one of my other great passions, namely photography.
I hope you will enjoy your time inside my head and that I will get to know you better by receiving your feedback, and perhaps a link showcasing your own creative endeavors in the form below.
Thanks for your time and interest
